What our current trainees say

“From day one, I have felt encouraged, trusted and supported in all matters I have assisted on. Not once have I felt intimidated to ask questions, knowing that no matter how trivial it appears, every member of the team will assist me and give me an intelligible response to my problem.”

Samantha Ball (Trainee Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team)

“I really enjoy the hands-on approach to training that Machins takes. From the first day I have: sat in on client meetings; discussed cases with clients myself in person and on the telephone and; been asked for my input on what steps should be taken on matters. I don’t feel like a trainee, I feel like part of the team.”

Edward Gill (Trainee Solicitor in the Private Client team)

“Trainees are given direct client contact from the outset which makes your work more valuable in which you are helping find a solution to real people, with real legal problems.”

Victoria Grant (Trainee Solicitor in the Company Commercial team)

“There is a clear effort to ensure that the firm as a whole works together, with meetings involving all the team, clear communication and social events all leading to a co-operative workspace. Trainees are valued from day 1 to be involved with these events, really meaning you feel part of the Machins family the second you start.”

Radha Chauhan (Newly Qualified Solicitor in the Private Client team)
