Machins Solicitors Announces Promotion of Jennifer Browne to Senior Associate
We are delighted to announce the promotion of Jennifer Browne to Senior Associate in the Family Law team.
Based in the Luton office, Jennifer specialises in public children law and has established an excellent reputation for representing parents, extended family members, children’s guardians and children in complex care proceedings. Her expertise, dedication and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients have made her a highly respected member of the team.
Jennifer regularly advises and represents clients in sensitive and challenging cases involving serious safeguarding concerns. She has particular expertise in representing children, young people and parents in complex public law matters, including cases involving non-accidental injuries. Her thorough and practical approach, combined with her ability to support clients through difficult circumstances, has earned her the trust of both clients and colleagues alike.

Prior to specialising in childcare law, Jennifer practised as a Duty Solicitor, representing clients at police stations across a wide range of criminal matters. She has also served as a presenter for the Nursing and Midwifery Council and as an independent legal adviser for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, bringing a breadth of experience to her current role.
Jennifer’s expertise has been recognised both within the profession and by her peers. She holds the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation and is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children. In 2024, she was part of the team recognised with the award for Family Law Case of the Year at the Family Law Awards. More recently, she has been named a finalist in the Associate Solicitor of the Year category at the 2026 Family Law Awards, with the awards set to take place in London later this month.
In addition to her legal practice, Jennifer is actively involved in supporting access to justice and developing the next generation of legal professionals. She has contributed to a number of community and mentoring initiatives and is a valued member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Jennifer’s promotion recognises her continued commitment to her clients, her specialist expertise in public family law and her contribution to the ongoing success of the Family Law team.
Everyone at Machins Solicitors congratulates Jennifer on this well-deserved promotion.
