About this event
Despite an employer’s best intentions to act fairly towards its entire workforce, a policy that is applied generally will always run the risk of disadvantaging some of employees.
If the people that experience a disadvantage are typically part of a protected group (e.g. the same race, faith, age bracket) then it is possible for the policy to be indirectly discriminatory.
In this webinar, David Rushmere and Grace Alabi from our Employment Law team will be examining indirect discrimination in practice and discussing how certain policies could be held to be discriminatory.
We will also look at how employers can address allegations of discrimination if they are made about a particular policy and the steps that can be taken to investigate a complaint.
The presentation will run from 10am -10.45am followed by an online Q&A session for anyone wishing to ask questions.
