Machins Solicitors was pleased to once again support the annual ECFB World Touch Tournament at Huel Tring Rugby Club, a well-supported event that continues to bring together players, families and local organisations from across the area.

With more than 260 players taking part, the tournament highlighted the inclusive and social nature of touch rugby. Teams represented countries from around the world, creating a friendly and relaxed environment where participation and community spirit were at the centre of the day.

Team Machins Takes Part

This year, #TeamMachins joined the competition as Team Fiji. The focus was very much on taking part, spending time together and enjoying something different outside of the working day.

It provided a great opportunity for colleagues to connect in a different setting and be part of an event that holds real value for the local community. The atmosphere throughout reflected that, with plenty of encouragement and support both on and off the pitch.

Supporting Mini and Junior Rugby

Alongside the tournament, Machins was proud to support the Mini and Junior Awards, recognising the club’s youngest players and the important role youth rugby plays within the club. It was encouraging to see so many children involved on the day, supported by their families and clearly enjoying being part of the event.

Our team also handed out mini Machins rugby balls during the day. More of a fun keepsake than match equipment, they disappeared quickly into the hands of the younger players and proved to be a very popular giveaway.

Supporting the Local Community

As a firm, being part of the local community is important to us. We work across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, and supporting events like this is one of the ways we stay connected to the people and organisations in those areas.

Local sports clubs such as Huel Tring Rugby Club play a central role in bringing people together, offering opportunities for all ages to get involved, stay active and build lasting connections. It was clear throughout the day how much the club means to those who are part of it.

Looking Ahead

The tournament was another enjoyable and well attended event, reflecting the strength of the local rugby community in Tring.
Machins Solicitors is proud to continue supporting Huel Tring Rugby Club and looks forward to being involved again next year.
