Key Responsibilities

As a member of the fee earning team responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes
  • Handling client work from initial instruction to resolution, including court proceedings and advocacy (where appropriate)
  • Delivering clear, practical advice to clients in writing, over the phone and in meetings
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Developing new business through marketing, networking, and internal cross referrals
  • Adherence to compliance policies and procedures and risk management
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Participating in professional development (CPD), webinars, podcasts and other marketing initiatives
  • Representing the firm at charity, community and networking events

We are looking for someone with:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4+ PQE working in Dispute Resolution, with a broad range of experience across civil and commercial disputes with strong commercial awareness (property litigation or insolvency litigation knowledge desirable but not essential)
  • Confidence managing a busy and varied caseload and excellent time management skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, and commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-motivated and pro-active approach
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills including efficiency, reliability and flexibility
  • Knowledge of the requirements of Lexcel (desirable but not essential)
