Key responsibilities

As a Paralegal you may be asked to support with any of the following:

  • Manage the opening and closing of client files, maintaining accurate records, ensuring all administration tasks are completed accurately and compliant with internal processes.
  • Support smooth and efficient client onboarding and matter set up.
  • Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries, handling calls and emails in a professional and responsive manner.
  • Gather initial information, assess enquiries, and ensure they are directed appropriately or referred to suitable alternatives where required.
  • Assist with diary management, meeting bookings, invoicing, and general file administration.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to fee earners, helping maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of enquiries, onboarding activity, and file management tasks.
  • Awareness of GDPR and the handling of sensitive information ensuring confidentiality and security of all practice and client data.
  • Support as and when requested in firm-wide and departmental marketing events.

About you

  • Strong academic ability including a degree or equivalent.
  • A demonstrable interest in law and ideally in Employment Law.
  • Some previous experience as a paralegal, preferably in Employment is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A friendly, professional manner and a genuine commitment to client care.
  • Personal pride in the quality of their work which should be to a high standard and delivered within the required timeframes.
  • Experience in the use of a case management system would be advantageous.
