Reporting to: Employment Team Partner
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Employment Paralegal to join our busy and supportive team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, helping the team deliver a consistently high level of service. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient file management, smooth client onboarding, and the first-line handling of new enquiries. Working closely with experienced solicitors, the role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities
As a Paralegal you may be asked to support with any of the following:
- Manage the opening and closing of client files, maintaining accurate records, ensuring all administration tasks are completed accurately and compliant with internal processes.
- Support smooth and efficient client onboarding and matter set up.
- Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries, handling calls and emails in a professional and responsive manner.
- Gather initial information, assess enquiries, and ensure they are directed appropriately or referred to suitable alternatives where required.
- Assist with diary management, meeting bookings, invoicing, and general file administration.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to fee earners, helping maintain workflow efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of enquiries, onboarding activity, and file management tasks.
- Awareness of GDPR and the handling of sensitive information ensuring confidentiality and security of all practice and client data.
- Support as and when requested in firm-wide and departmental marketing events.

About you
- Strong academic ability including a degree or equivalent.
- A demonstrable interest in law and ideally in Employment Law.
- Some previous experience as a paralegal, preferably in Employment is desirable but not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A friendly, professional manner and a genuine commitment to client care.
- Personal pride in the quality of their work which should be to a high standard and delivered within the required timeframes.
- Experience in the use of a case management system would be advantageous.
