Machins is delighted to be one of the founding members of the Hospice of St Francis Corporate Partner Network established in 2012 and have successfully launched the Hospice of St Francis Running Club.
Machins has a growing corporate social responsibility programme within the Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire community. We have strong links with local charities, schools and universities and strive to ensure our partners and staff work in partnership to share their expertise and knowledge.
We have a wide ranging portfolio of charitable activities through internal and external fundraising events, donation programmes and free legal advice consultations ensuring our social and ethical focus is deeply embedded within our culture. Have a look at how we’ve been getting involved!

With Machins’ roots embedded in Luton we are proud to support Community Interest Luton and the work they do in the local community. In recent years we have supported the charity’s Afternoon Teas through sponsorship and our team are regular volunteers at the weekly Curry Kitchen.
Machins is proud to be one of the founding members of Keech Hospice Care’s Business Club. The Business Club connects local communities through business and charity across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.
Machins have a long association with Berkhamsted Rotary and are proud to sponsor the annual ‘BerkoRun’. This community event raises thousands every year for deserving local causes. Every year Machins runners turnout to support this local event.
Machins are club sponsors of Tring Rugby Cub. The club runs four senior teams and a full range of junior and mini teams. We’re proud to support the teams and be involved in this local community club.
Our Family Team are actively supporting Hertfordshire Law Clinic with team members attending their law clinic on a monthly basis to support the University of Hertfordshire law students to acquire the skills and experience they will need to practise as lawyers.
Our Family Team actively support Ampthill CAB in Bedfordshire and Rickmansworth CAB in Hertfordshire. Our team offer free telephone consultations on a monthly basis supporting CAB clients with family-law related matters.
In the past year our Wills, Trusts and Probate team has taken part in three Make a Will Month Initiatives offering will writing services free of charge in exchange for donations to charity. Charities support include: The Hospice of St Francis, Chilterns Neuro Centre and Age Concern Luton.
