Qualified as a Solicitor in 1984. Nigel graduated from Manchester University and the College of Law, Chester and went on to join Williams & Company in Luton 1982. At this firm he was a Partner from 1987 – 2011, during which time he worked to develop the Private Client, Conveyancing and Family departments. Nigel joined Machins Solicitors in October 2011 to further specialise and develop his Private Client practice.
Additionally, Nigel undertakes a number of responsibilities outside the office such as: acting as a Trustee in a number of private cases as well as for two Luton charities, operating as the Clerk to the Board of Appeal of the English Table Tennis Association, has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 1996, is a member of the Law Society Probate Section and is a member of the Rotary Club of Luton North.
In his spare time, Nigel enjoys a number of wide and varied interests which are generously tolerated by his loving family!
Following the closure of Williams & Co Nigel donated firm's complete collection of law books to the University of Bedfordshire for their Law Section in Luton. Nigel met with Jo Mayhill, Head of Academic Liason/Research Librarian to hand over the books in December 2011.
