Changes to Flexible Working Policy

Posted: 24th June 2014   In: Business Employment

From 30th June 2014 all employees, provided they have 26 weeks' continuous service, will have the statutory right to request working flexibly.

Employers need to be fully prepared. In order to protect against employment claims, we recommend employers have an updated flexible working process in place. Some businesses can easily accommodate flexible working but your business may find this difficult.

With this in mind, Machins Solicitors LLP have developed a Flexible Working Policy 2014 document which is available for you to download free of charge here. There is also a link to the ACAS Code and Guidance on the website

There have been a number of recent changes in employment law and now is as good a time as any for employers to review their employment policies and procedures. We can offer a free audit of employee handbooks and contracts for a limited time only.
