Making a will is one of the most important things you can do to protect your family and your estate.
Nearly two out of three adults in Britain do not have a valid will, according to a survey carried out by MacMillan Cancer Support.
You can choose who will receive your estate
You can choose who will be responsible for dealing with your estate
You can choose who will be your children’s guardians
You may save considerable time and money with the administration
You may avoid family disputes
You may be able to avoid or reduce inheritance tax
We offer a range of fixed fees for wills depending on the complexity. Our fees start at £250+VAT for a single straightforward will and £400+VAT for a pair of straightforward mirror wills. If your circumstances require a more specialist approach, for example for tax or family reasons, then these costs may be slightly higher but they will still be fixed and confirmed at the outset.
Our Private Client team has built up considerable experience in relation to wills and we pride ourselves on being sympathetic and understanding while dealing with the administration of the estate as efficiently and practically as possible.
A professionally drawn up will prepared by a regulated legal advisor who makes appropriate checks and keeps relevant records is much less likely to be successfully challenged than a home-made will.
