Forced Marriage Protection Orders
The Family Court is able to make Forced Marriage Protection Orders to protect someone from being forced into marriage. An Order can also be made to protect someone who has already been forced into marriage, to help remove them from the situation.
An application for a Forced Marriage Protection Order is often made by Social Services or by the police. If you feel you are at risk of harm you need to contact the police.
