An Adoption Order ends the parental responsibility of any person or local authority and gives adopters sole parental responsibility for the child.
Contested Adoptions and Leave to Oppose
Contested Adoption mainly occurs when parent/s want to contest an adoption application. If a placement order has already been made for a child a parent is likely to need the permission of the court to oppose an adoption.
We have experienced children law solicitors who can provide advice in respect of the many aspects of adoption. This includes international adoptions.
