Christmas parties are a great way to thank staff, acknowledge hard work and motivate and retain employees.

However, the mixture of festive fun, alcohol, team bonding and social media could lead to grievances, investigations, disciplinary action, injury, harassment and even dismissal for gross misconduct. Some types of inappropriate behaviour may also give rise to discrimination claims.

In this webinar David Rushmere from the Employment Law team will discuss whether work parties are ‘still work’, look at recent case law and explore the possible implications if things go wrong as well as outlining what steps employers can put in place to ensure HR issues are minimised.

The presentation will run from 1pm-1.45pm followed by a online Q&A session for anyone wishing to ask questions.
