About Machins Solicitors LLP

Whilst Machins Solicitors LLP now operates from modern offices it has in fact carried on business under the name of “Machins” since 1920 and can trace its roots back to a law firm that had opened for business in the late 1800’s.

Machins move to new offices in their current building allowed Machins to continue growing and ensured the firm was equipped to embrace all the advantages of new technology.

Our Services

Machins currently provide specialist advice and assistance both for businesses and individuals. For business, it includes aviation law (a particular specialisation rarely found outside London and originally established through its connections with London Luton Airport), commercial law, litigation, property, employment and debt recovery. On the private client side of the practice, specialisms have developed in complex wills and trusts and family law matters.

Machins achieved the Law Society’s highly regarded Lexcel standard in 2009 and again in 2010. This award was given as a reflection of our high level of client care and the effective operational systems that we use.

Machins are also accredited with Investors in People and are members of the Law Society’s Family Panel and an approved member of the Accident Line.
